Labrum Repair

My 20 year old son tore his labrum in a lacrosse game. My son had the same injury that many NFL offensive lineman get when they get an arm too far out when blocking. We were lucky enough to find Dr Boutris. He has all of the board certifications and he previously was one of the team doctors for the NY Jets. Consequently he has extensive experience repairing torn labrums in athletes.He is an excellent communicator. He is well spoken AND HE LISTENS. He laid out all the options. We chose surgery as my son's tear was fairly significant. The surgery went perfectly and 2 months later my son is ahead of schedule with physical therapy and range of motion. I only have good things to say about Dr Boutris. I highly recommend.

I was extremely pleased that the doctor pulled out my MRI scans from a different provider and went over them with me. The provider that ordered them did not do so.

Rotator cuff & bicep repair

Dr Boutris completed rotator cuff and bicep repair surgery for me. The surgery was a success and 8 months afterwards there are no surgical scars or impairments. My strength is gaining and my range of motion is almost completely even to the other arm. Dr. Boutris' followup with me through the months after surgery have been informative and helpful to my recovery. His professionalism and friendly demeanor eased my anxiety regarding my recovery expectations and I am 100% satisfied with not only my surgery and recovery, but with my selection of Dr. Boutris as my surgeon.

Dr. Boutris repaired my left rotator cuff muscles, 2 full tears, 1 partial tear, in Jan 2023. I now have a complete tear in my right supraspinatus and a full or almost complete tear in my infraspinatus muscle. While I'm less that excited about going through this again, I wouldn't go to any other Dr. to get this repaired. Great Dr. great staff. Excellent re-hab team.

Complete repair of right shoulder

Dr. Boutris saw me after being referred for surgery on my right shoulder that showed a tear of the rotor cuff and bicep tendons. He explained everything and what to expect during rehab and recovery. My experience has been very good both with relief from pain I was experiencing before surgery and the lack of surgical trauma to my body from the repair. I believe it is the skillful expertise of Dr. Boutris that is responsible for my excellent outcome, and I have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone.

I moved from NY to Texas and needed to find new drs. Dr Boutris was recommended to me for shoulder pain. He was great… took X-rays, sent me for an MRI and although I do have a tear, he did not rush in to suggest surgery. He explained everything to me and ordered some PT and we will go from there! I liked his manner and concern and found it very easy to talk to him.
